VS Lafayette originated from the respected H. Stewart Kline & Associates, acquired by VS Engineering in 2017. HSK, founded in 1963, built a distinguished reputation for transportation and civil engineering services across Greater Lafayette and Indiana. Today, our team continues this legacy, combining decades of local experience with VS’s regional resources.
Clem Kuns, PE, PS, CPESC is our Lafayette Regional Manager, bringing over 20 years of expertise in civil engineering, land surveying, and construction. As a licensed Professional Engineer, Professional Surveyor, and Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, Clem has directed major public and private projects throughout Indiana. Born, raised, and educated in Greater Lafayette, Clem’s deep local roots and construction background add unique value to every VS project.
Our professionals live, work, and play in Lafayette. We know the region’s practices, officials, drainage patterns, traffic flows, and utilities—allowing us to anticipate challenges and deliver smoother project execution.
