The Parke County Countywide Bridge Inspection & Inventory project includes the routine re-inspection of all Parke County bridges, performed in accordance with National Bridge Inspection Standards (23 CFR 650C), and; current editions of Recording and Coding Guide for the Structure Inventory and Appraisal of the Nation’s Bridges, The Manual for Bridge Evaluation with interims including the “Final Rule,” and the Indiana Bridge Inspection Manual.

This re-inspection and inventory included:

• 29 Concrete Slab Bridges (1 Select and 1 Non-Select Historic)
• 3 Concrete Tee Beam Bridges
• 23 Concrete Girder Bridges (2 Select and 7 Non-Select Historic)
• 5 Concrete Arches (1 Non-Select Historic)
• 2 Concrete Culverts/9 Metal Culverts
• 60 Precast Concrete Beams (1 Non-Select Historic)
• 1 Precast Segmental Box Girder
• 14 Steel Beam/Girder Bridges (1 Non-Select Historic)
• 4 Railroad Flatcars
• 21 Timber Truss Covered Bridges (20 Select Historic)
