The City of Huntingburg retained VS Engineering as the prime consultant for the 4th Street Heritage Trail project. The 4th Street Heritage Trail is part of Huntingburg’s Stellar Community Designation and the sister project to the recently completed Market Street Park.

The project lies within the City of Huntingburg’s (federally registered) historic central business district. The project will serve to remove and replace existing 4th Street with a curbless, flex street that will allow business owners to utilize space in front of their business for commercial purposes or parking, whichever is preferred.

Given the amount of businesses on 4th Street, and the importance of them to the City of Huntingburg, VS along with our project partners, developed a robust communication strategy that included public meetings, local office hours, social media campaigns, weekly construction update email blasts and frequent door to door communications during construction.
