I-70 AND US 41 INTERCHANGE MODIFICATION
The Interchange Modification at I-70 and U.S. 41 consisted of the complete removal of existing pavement of both northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. 41 (approximately 1200 feet), reconstruction and widening and resurface of existing ramps, construction of retaining wall under I-70 bridges, sidewalk, modification and relocation of traffic signals, upgrading/reconstruction of drainage facilities, site restoration and other incidental improvements.
As a Prime Consultant, VS provided the following services:
- Project coordination and management
- Field survey and investigation
- Design and preparation of right-of-way plans
- Geometric design of the urbanized arterial interchange
- Analysis and design of retaining walls
- Design and layout of signing and lighting
- Modification and relocation of signal system
- Upgrade of the drainage system
- Design of traffic scheme
- Preparation of contract plans, special provisions, quantities and cost estimates
