About Indianapolis

theconstructo.com

Since 1980, Indianapolis has been the heart of VS Engineering. Founded on the northwest side with a vision to invest in our local community, our headquarters continues to serve as the foundation of our growth and leadership across Indiana.

Our journey began in a small building on High School Road in 1982. As demand for our services grew, so did we. A new 3,500 square foot facility was constructed in 1990, followed by a major expansion in 2009 that increased our footprint to 15,000 square feet. In 2024, we launched “Reboot Indy,” a thoughtful transformation of our headquarters designed to support departmental growth, enhance collaboration, and intentionally invest in our office culture.

Today, our Indianapolis office is home to more than 70 professionals, including Professional Engineers, Professional Land Surveyors, Inspectors, Technicians, and administrative leaders. With over 45 years of experience serving Indianapolis and communities throughout Indiana, our team delivers practical expertise and reliable solutions across all service areas. That experience has been instrumental in strengthening long standing client partnerships and establishing VS as a respected leader in the engineering industry.

Just as important as our technical expertise is our culture. We celebrate milestones, support community initiatives, host quarterly pitch-ins, and create opportunities to connect beyond project work. Our people are the strength behind our success, and our Indianapolis headquarters reflects our commitment to investing in both our team and the communities we serve.

In addition to VS being an active corporate partner with diverse organizations, VS encourages community involvement and volunteerism among staff and places great importance on programs that make a difference in the lives of families and children including food drives and toy donation programs.

VS strives to make a difference in advancing education and enriching our youth through programs which support their future success. VS maintains continual support is the Purdue University Science Bound Program. Since its inception in 2002, this innovative program seeks to augment the level of Indianapolis Public School students in the pursuit of careers in the fields of engineering, science, technology, math sciences and agriculture. VS also annually supports the ACEC Indiana scholarship program dedicated for college students enrolled in Indiana engineering schools. Our Indianapolis Office has provided summer and school year internships for many engineering students and looks forward to continuing these opportunities.
